Last summer I asked them to replace a part on my mountain bike that kept making an incredible screeching noise and made the chain fall off. Instead they popped my rear tire, simply unbent the part and jammed it back into place and charged my $140 for it. So now I still have the same issue and am out $150 (was only 14 at the time so that's a lot of money) and have a $500 bike I can't use. I would recommend doing it yourself.
I recently moved west and this was one of the local bike shops. After having all of my bikes serviced here and one newly assembled, I'd have to say that I wouldn't go anywhere else.
